This dataset contains the registration status of each Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) in New York State for calendar year 2024. Each LHCSA must register with the New York State Department of Health annually in order to provide services, bill, and avoid paying a fine.

This dataset is a summary of the emergency department (ED) encounters reported in SPARCS data, summarized by facility and quarter of visit. ED encounters are classified according to the claim type associated with the SPARCS record into treat and release ED visits, ED visits that required ambulatory surgery, and ED visits that resulted in an inpatient admission.

The primary goal of this dataset is to provide users timely information about influenza-associated hospitalizations throughout the current influenza season. Although each influenza season is unique, historical data is provided for trend comparison.

This data includes the name and location of active mobile home parks operating in New York State. Active mobile home parks include only parks that were categorized as active (i.e. operating with accommodations for the placement of five or more mobile or manufactured homes) on the date the data was downloaded from a DOH database. Additionally, the data includes the park owner-operator, the number of sites within the park, the type of on-site water source and sewage disposal system serving the mobile home park, and whether a pool or beach is operated as part of the mobile home park. The location of the mobile home park includes its street address, city, state, zip code, municipality, and county. This data also includes the date of the last inspection and violations of Part 17 of the New York State Code of Rules and Regulations that were identified during that inspection. The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has a responsibility to perform surveillance to monitor and track different kinds of tick-borne diseases. While most surveillance is done via reportable cases of human illness, tick-borne diseases can also be monitored by collecting ticks from the environment (called active surveillance) and testing them for bacteria, viruses, and parasites known to cause illness in people (collectively called pathogens). Active surveillance allows local county health departments in NY, excluding New York City (NYC), to have a better understanding of the tick populations present in the state, the species composition of the tick population, and the rate at which ticks are infected with different pathogens. The Department started testing ticks in 2002 in limited areas; testing statewide began in 2008. Home health services include nursing services; home health aide services; medical supplies, equipment and appliances suitable for use in the home; and at least one additional service that may include physical therapy; occupational therapy; speech pathology; nutritional services; and medical social services.

The purpose of collecting data from service providers is to obtain their demographic information as well as past operational statistics like volume, patient census, types of services provided, or workload information. This data is self-reported annually.
